Incomplete Depth

The inter-conversion of vertical and horizontal lines is the original form of a square. This is why a square resembles life. The lines that stretch upward and sideways meet at a single point to create facets. My square looks sturdy, but it’s incomplete.

It seems like the repetition of lines and the accumulation of layers on a piece make the incomplete frame of the square even more complex. However, many layers ultimately create depth. Depth is a result of time and process.

I don’t showcase a perfected outcome, but rather, expose the entire process, comprised of all the layers that have piled up.

My aim is to show it as is, with no denial of the unfinished present state.
