This exhibition explores the ideas, thought process, and creative individuality behind the artist sketchbook. Participating artists were given a sketchbook and a little over three months to do pretty much anything they wanted, with few exceptions, with their book. The sketchbooks have been placed on shelves in the gallery alongside prints of select images from the books which will be displayed on the walls. Visitors are welcome to sit down with a book and dive into the diverse selection of artwork that is featured within each page. The artwork in each sketchbook varies between each artist, but includes illustration, pen and pencil drawings, acrylic and watercolor paintings, photography, collage, screen and block prints, and mixed media.
